Hi everyone, I'm new to this site and would like to start out with saying hi.
My question concerns tire size for my dodge. My dodge is the off road edition which if I understand right has some great upgrades including a 2 inch lift. My question is simply can I put 33/12.50x17 on the truck without and issues. I'd be putting them on the factory 17 inch rims which are 8 inches wide which I don't think will be an issue. I just don't want to have an offset issue or rubbing.

My personal opinion is i wouldn't run anything over 11.5 wide on stock wheels to avoid rubbing issues

My own personal preference says too wide. 12.5 wide on anything shorter than 35 is stupid. Too wide for real offroading too short for rock crawling. Only thing it's good for is loose ass sand. Wide tires look dumb in my opinion too.

But yes you may run into rubbing issues. Not for sure but it's very possible. Do you want to know the biggest tire you CAN run or SHOULD run?

I personally like the looks of 33/12.50. I'd like to know what the biggest I can run, then I'll decide what Id like to run, just nice to know all my options.

That would be great, I believe that would be almost a 34" size, I'm not sure about rubbing

With a 12.50 you'll need some more offset, .75"-1" or so. My 305s spec out to about 12 and will rub my control arms if the axle flexes even the slightest bit. 12 is the absolute limit on stock wheels. 11.50s will clear fine.

I've a 3.75" back space and I'm clearing 33x12.5R15 no problems. You need new wheels or spacers maybe.

To clear no rubbing 4.00 is min spec for backspacing.
