I have a 97 dodge ram 4x4 5.9. What is the biggest last ft I can give it with out changing anything? I heard a 2.5 to 3 inch is as much as a can go before changing other parts.

3" is when you need to start replacing parts. might not be bad to go through the front end anyways and see what could use replacing anyways. Still will want new shocks to match the new suspension travel with any lift installed. But yep, search around on this section&you'll find all you want to know.

Ah! Gotcha man thank you! Would a 2.5 inch skyjacker lift be good? This is Maddy. She got a new paint job :)

Ah! Gotcha ! Thank you! How do you get the wheels to stick out to the sides?

Offset on the rims or wheel spacers but Id recommend against wheel spacers...too much load on the wheels sticking out and who knows when the spacer will break and off goes your wheel.

Lots of mixed feelings on wheel spacers. If you decide to get them make sure you get the ones that bolt on, not the ones that just sit in place.

Can I buy a 2.5 inch coil spacer and a 2 inch add a leaf to level the truck out? And do I need to replace shocks right away or can a wait a bit?

How much higher is the rear of your truck than the front right now? You can get away with not replacing shocks right away but since you're gonna have them off anyway...

2.5" in front will level the truck. To be sure, measure from ground to wheel well in front and in back. I would strongly advise getting new shocks when doing this unless you want to hate the ride of your truck, and you'll have everything apart anyways so you'll save yourself a lot of time.

Don't do wheel spacers everytime i see somebody with them i think how can they even be happy with the way that looks? Don't pretend to have an offroad machine if you want wider axles then get wider axles don't pretend to have them, im happier with my stock looking rust bucket than i would be with wheel spacers.

True, I'm just excited for my lift and I have to wait like about 2 weeks to buy them. That's why I ask, I don't mind taking them off again.
