big tires or not??

im wanting to put bigger tires on my truck, is it true the bigger the tire the less gas miliages you'll get? if i get bigger tires what size would you recommend?

Yes, that is true because you are adding rolling resistance. You truck has to work harder to turn the larger tires, also pitting more strain on our already problem prone A518 transmissions. However, regearing the rear end can get things back to as normal as it can get. If I were to lift my 2WD, I wouldnt go any larger than 35" tires and regear it with 4.56 gears.

What are you doing for a lift? But yes, you are adding more rolling weight, and altering the geometry. The odds of something happening are slim to none, but the chance does exist.

Well, the Fabtech 6.5 inch lift kit will get you to a 34.6 inch tire...Just the 3.5 inch spindle lift will get you to a 33 inch tire...

Here is the Fabtech 6.5 inch kit...this will let you run your 35's, but not with an OEM wheel
