So tomorrow afternoon I am installing my Bilstein 5100s and my Top Gun 2.5" leveling kit. What size are the shock bolts? I was going to get some at the hardware store just in case I break one taking them off.

Well, google failed me. I tried man but anything I saw didn't say what size the were. Spray em with a penetrating lube of some sort unless that will screw up the bushing.

I have been hitting them with PB every so often to help out. I just wanted to be prepared.

Man...I have found some threads on other forums while searching for you and some say the lower shock bolt is dealer only

Well the shocks and leveling kit came out fine and installed easily too. Just used a homemade spring compressor on the passenger side, only needed about a 1/2 inch, driverside went in with out being compressed.

Had to drive home and WOW! What a smooth ride now. I can hear me going over bumps but I don't feel them. Loving the 5100s.

Bulldogging like me now lol. Looks good man. Kinda wished I would've looked into the 5100's before going with the ones I've got now

Yeah I do have a Superlift rear block I could add if wanted too, its got the little nub so it would go under the stock block I believe. But not sure if I will or not.

Next suspension mods will be dual shocks up front. I have the top bracket already.

What does your home made compressor look like? I had a store bought one I was using and that thing was scary when compressed

How big is your stock block? I strongly advise NOT to stack blocks...just get one the size you need...

Yeah I am afraid of stacking. so probably won't.
The compressor looked sort of like this but with bigger hooks.

Lift looks good. I can't wait till mine gets leveled.

I have spring compressors like that but 2 hooks instead of 1 on each claw. They work but not the best and safest to use. I learned that the hard way.

Yeah I only needed it to compress a half inch so wasn't too afraid.

I put Bilsteins on all four corners.

I need the rear sort of the same anyways for when I pull my camper. I already bought an 11" drop hitch (which is the biggest I could find for my Quality S) for it to sit better.
I may look into air bags or something

Edit: I would also like to lift the camper by flipping the springs to the top of the axle and that would gain around 4" I think
