99% of alloy 15s don't fit with the dual piston calipers. You CAN get em to fit with high backspace but unless you got $1200 worth of giant tires for 15" wheel it's not worth trying to find a set that does. Specific models mam nothing if the backspace is wrong

I'm running 15"x 7" steel wheels on my 01. No problem. Took them off my 68 Commando.
15x10 would be awesome. Yes, steel 15x10 will fit.

I feel that 17 inch wheels will be the new normal for us soon as the range of 16 inch tires decreases.

I'm not wrong. 99% of alloy wheels (alloy, they don't make aluminum) won't work with 2000+ dual piston equipped trucks. Steel go nuts or below 2000 go nuts

I'd recommend 17" wheels, far more tire choices available. 15's can fit but its a pita. Save your time and just get 16 or 17's.

Yep it seems 17s are starting to be the smallest you want to go due to tire choice, brake clearance, etc. Now if only the tire companies would stop charging more for less tire

I think the reason they cost more for bigger rim widths is tires are actually harder to manufacture. I remember reading that somewhere.

Another point to consider is if you ever upgrade trucks to a newer vehicle, ie 02+ dodge, you won't be able to use even 16" rims, as 17"s will be the smallest to fit. So if you buy nice tires for the 15's or 16's, you won't be able to swap them to new vehicle. My 10 takes minimum 17" wheels, so when I got it I wasn't able to pull the brand new 16" Hercules Trail Diggers off of my 01 and reuse them.

Well I thought about 17s but their expensive for the ones I want and the 15" tires are also cheaper
