My local part store sells 1 1/2" coil spacers, I was wondering if I were to put one on the top and one on the bottom of the front coils, would that lift the truck 3 inches

Well...you don't ever put a spacer underneath a spring, for one. It lifts it out of the bucket and you get the high likelihood of it escaping at the most inopportune time.

So you came here looking for advice about spring spacers used under the coil-spring, all said bad idea and yet you are going to do it.

As posted its a bad idea and should not be done, get a set of Hellbent 3" spacers.

I'm not putting the spacers on the top and the bottom. The spacer rings I got with the cut in them goes in the middle of the coil and winds up the coil.

I have an idea on what you are now going to use, these are not what you need or want to install in your 4wd truck. Get a set of proper Dodge Ram coil-spring spacers they are not that expensive and will work much better than any rubber insert that goes into the spring coils.

Do what the man says. Do it.

More importantly, DON'T, do what you are talking about doing.

The ones you want to use are a waste of money. I did it to an hold f150 and it didnt make any difference what so ever.

The 2nd type you were talking about...bad idea. I've seen those go wrong so many times.
