what are y'alls opinions on body lifts? i've never liked them personally, but saw a guy with a 3" body lift on his ram and it didn't look half bad. What do you think it would look like if I put a 3" body on my existing 5" suspension and went up to 37s (currently running 35s)?

I know I had a 3rd gen...but I had a BL on my 03 1/2 ton. I loved it. Gave the the clearance for bigger tires and had a good look.

Never thought I would ever take my truck wheeling, but about a year before I traded it in I got into pretty good. Took the truck threw dry fields with tire ruts at 40-45 mph...body never moved or came lose.

Mudding never was a prob...except for the mud building up around the lift pucks, but that really isn't a problem.

Trailing...truck did great, no body movement, cab and bed stayed in place like it should.

All in all...its a good bang for the buck. JMO

I use to hate them as well. I know that on different generations body lifts look different and some show the gaps more than others. I had looked into the 3" body lift on top of my 8" suspension however I would not be able to use my light bar and off road lights and I paid a ton for them. I think that a body lift and 37's would look great on yours so my vote is yes.
