I want more lift, but I'm in a conundrum...

thanks, everyone..

Doesn't the Class3 hitch bolt to the frame? If so, then why would one lose towing capacity by raising the bumper brackets? Or am I missing something here :)

what about things like:

fan shroud
shifter linkage(s)
heater/ac lines
etc.

just towing with the bumper is lost.

the kit usually comes with shifter bracket.
the fan shroud may or may not have a kit, with my jeep I had to drill new holes to lower it. being only 1.25", it wasnt a big deal. I do not know with rams.

The Hitch doesn't look out of place to me with the raised bumper

That's an old pic. We haven't had those plates in years lol

As far as the hitch is concerned, it's all a matter of personal taste. Some people don't like the gap between the bottom of the bumper and the hitch after a BL and others aren't bothered by it

I think (from the side) it would look quite silly, not raised.

I do want those side steps, however.. :)

The only thing lengthened with a body lift on the 2nd gen is the tranny cooler lines. Most kits should come with them.

Why would you want a lift in a truck that tows often and plows snow? I have stated in posts before but I'll say it anyway a lift and towing is not a good recipe. Yeah you can do it but it really seems like a bad idea in your situation and in mine as I also tow a lot. Why not just leave the one have as is and get a second one to lift that will remove the plow at the vary least from this equation. Nice truck btw love it when people use their trucks as a work horse.

Also why do a couple of these trucks have reverse rake? Looks like they are sagging and driving up hill.

I'd love to get a 2nd truck, but I don't have the time/space/money for a 2nd truck..

I've decided (anyway) to just leave it as it is.

Thanks, guys..

and MopaRambling, nice! thanks for sharing that pic.

Makes it look like we are haulin ass while parked in the driveway, better gas mileage that way.

Mine was really bad after installing the new shocks and leveling kit
