Well I'm thinking of putting 2.5" coil spacers in my Ram 2500, but I have some questions first.
A. CAN this be done by the average mechanic?
B. Do I need a spring compressor?
C. How hard is the job to do?
D. where can I get heap Nerf Bars?

A. CAN this be done by the average mechanic? (sure, if you have some mechanical sense)
B. Do I need a spring compressor? (It would be safe to have them, but a ratchet strap works well too, you just dont want the spring popping out of the pocket)
C. How hard is the job to do? (on scale of 1-10, probably a 4)
D. where can I get heap Nerf Bars? (craigslist, ebay)

Also, you will need an alignment done afterwards

I did a 2 1/2 on my truck in my drive way. Took all of 2 hours to do. I went and got a strut compressor over a spring compressor only cause of it being a coil over. As for Difficulty I would put it at a 2 or 4 depending on your mechanical background. If you take your time and watch what your doing it's an easy 2. But if you have never turned a wrench before it's a solid 4. I say if you can change your oil you can do this.

Me and a buddy of mine added a 2.5". Pretty simple. I used a set of homemade compressors just the passenger side though, the driver side I got the axle to drop enough for it to go back in on its own.

Yea it's a good idea to change out the shocks or you will have the headache of putting it all back in a second time after your shocks go out.

lol ok Just make sure they are long enough. Some stock shocks won't support a level. Let us know how it turns out for ya.
