So I decided I wanna level the truck to make it look a little better and I had a few questions.
Rough country has two different leveling kits for this year truck. 2001 ram 4x4. One of them just has the 2.5in coil spacers for the front, and the other has shocks, coil spacers and 2" lift blocks for the rear. So I'm kind of confused by this kit, would that technically be a 2" lift with an added level? I've heard mixed things about stacking blocks, which I would assume that's what this kit is doing?
Any advice is welcome as to which kit I should go and if there is anything else I should add, please list your recommendations too. I like the lifted truck look just can't justify spending the money on a full suspension lift plus my gears won't handle bigger tires than I have anyway. So if this would raise my truck up an extra couple inches for only double the price of the spacers alone, why not.
Thanks everyone

Didn't read the labels on them, if I'm going to do it I'd rather spend the extra money and do the lift kit

Then get a lift kit and a good one that don't uses spring spacers and stacks blocks.

The lift basics post in this section by okiespaniel is something you should definitely take the time to read

How much lift do you to do? That's some consideration as well.

It wouldn't be enough to have to change tire sizes so probably like 2" or so. I'm not set on lifting it yet instead of just doing a leveling kit. Gonna kick it around for a little and watch for deals on kits
Thanks everyone

I have the rough country 2.5" spacer upfront with new shocks and new srock height coils... I take it very easy offroad but not a single issue with the spacer.. kit was $195

If you're just wanting to level your truck go for HBS spacers. I had hem and they were great, the 2" leveled my truck perfect. I bought them on cyber Monday for $50 lol regular is $80 I believe?

I paid 90 for my 2.5" in March. Haven't had a problem with HBS all bolts have held down tight since i installed. But if you go for the 2.5" save some money and put new shocks on while you're in there.

So with Christmas coming up and with some checks hopefully coming my way, I wanna lift the rear 2". Going to AAL, looking for springs at a cheaper cost now. I would have to put new shocks all the way around, correct?

I'm looking into body lifts now too.
If I do the body lift, I'll do 3" then down the road probably level it, maybe do a complete suspension kit. Depends how long I keep the truck for. Not real sure which route I'm gonna take yet

I have the Rough Country 2.5 level up front and so far no issues. I even took it back to the garage to have them check it after reading the cons on here. I don't off road but If I do I don't to break anything.
