thinking about a lift. i want 35s. or bigger. i dont want to destroy my front axle or my transmission. ive got a 2002 2500 qcsb 4x4 that sits pretty high from factory. options are: hbs 2.5 leveling kit, zone offroad 5in, or just seeing if i can stuff 35s on... opinions? options? experiences?

i want to do the lift right, and if i lift my truck i cant fit into my garage anymore so bigger is definantly a option. can the hbs adjustable control arms work for something like 5 in? kinda really just interested in different options, building my own lift that will work well and not destroy parts. and not have the spend a crapload.

I don't know the specs on those wheels since its not my truck.

Stock wheels aren't going to be wide enough because I don't believe there's a metric tire that is 11-11.5" wide offered in 16". You would need at least an 8" wide wheel so you can run 12.5" wide tires.

I looked on HBS's website and it says that their adj. control arms are for up to 2" beyond OEM to accommodate for leveling kits.

If you like that stance with 35s then all you need is the 2" spacer and new wheels. You have a Dana 60 front so you won't have the same issues us with 1500s have. Also if you have 4.10 gears you can get away with 35s until you feel like regearing without worrying about the tranny.

If you want a bigger lift you're talking about putting a considerable amount of money into it.

OP for wheels, 3rd gen 8 bolts are usually 8" wide if you can find a cheap set used locally. That way you can run a 12.5" wide tire.

I think you should do just the 2" HBS + 35's if you're looking to save money.

BBartow is that WR's truck lol
