Hey currently running a 5 inch suspension lift and am looking to go higher. Probably gonna do a 2.5 inch coil spacer in the front and aal in the rear to be just under or at 8 inch lift total. What can i expect to run into by doing it this way? Driveshaft length? Trac bar angle in the front? Or will i be okay with how it is now and just adding the spacer and aal?

You're going to need an adjustable track bar with possibly a relocation bracket and you're going to need a driveshaft clocking ring for the t-case to get the driveshafts back and acceptable angles.

So 8" total lift, gonna need lots of parts. New upper and lower control arms, new 6" or more drop pitman arm, clocking/indexing ring for the xcase, brake lines, shocks, trackbar, possible steering system.

After you get past 5" of lift you need to look at going long arm's you might get by with short arms but it will have a very harsh ride and will not flex well.

The only thing i cant seem to find is a larger drop for the sway bar which isnt really an issue bc i can just make two brackets. Ive already planned on upgrading to the bds long arm upgrade. Where could i find larger upper control arms? Ill probably have to buy adjustables

Indeed the BDS lower longarm kit is just that lower arm's and frame brackets, it is meant to be used with a 5"+ lift kit that already has upper control arm relocation brackets and arm's.

Some move the upper arm to the lower arms old mounting bracket on the frame, upper arm will be in the 18"-19" C to C. I would have a reputable machine/fab/welding shop make up a set, you buy all the ends, tubeing adapters and misalignment parts. They weld it together for you.

There are a few other long arm kits out there you might keep looking around if you want a full long arm kit.

This is the Fab-Tech long arm kit. I like the upper control arm bracket much more over the BDS or Skyjacker ones as these are made out of thick steel and are inserted over being a metal wrap over the old upper arm brackets like BDS and Skyjacker use.

So for my lift, I wanted a set of those fabtech long arms. I emailed Fabtech about it and was givin this link: Suspension lift kits - Dodge Ram 1500 plus this number for ordering: 800-521-4908

The brackets and arms can be purchased separetly, but I think you need to call them with the part numbers (which Merc listed above) to order. I can let you know in the future as I need to order some parts from them. They are not listed on the site.

OP it is gonna be a lot of money and a lot of parts to go past 5", as has been explained, are you willing to invest in that?

Oh im absolutely willing to invest the kind of money to go past 5". And I want it done right. Sure i can add a 3" body lift and get to 8 like I'd want but to me thats not worth it.
