I am thinking about finally putting some lift on my truck but i am needing some advice. First off, i dont do any hardcore offroading and rarely haul alot of weight in the bed. Now i am hearing that adding blocks in the rear is no good from some people and others say it is fine. Below are the 2 kits i am looking at. I need some advice whether or not these are good, if i should get an AAL instead, etc. Thanks for the help.

Here is one, the other one is in the attachment.

Personal advice. Do a coil spacer up front. AAL in the back. Spend the extra $ on shocks (bilsteins) dont know if i spelled that right. The TCS track bar bracket should be ok, as long as your not killing your truck. you may or may not need Sway bar extensions, i wouldnt know cause i dont run a sway bar. Control arms - height dependent.

Look at the rough country 2.5 inch leveling lift kit. Spacers in front, blocks in back. If your not doing hardcore off road or hauling all the time it would be fine. I have it on mine and its pretty good.

I would just get 2" front coils or a 2" coil spacer for upfront, 2" AAL for the rear and some good shocks. At that height, no need for track bar bracket, sway bar drops or anything of the sort really. You won't notice 1" of height difference in the front really.

are you changing tire size? what stance do you like?

you have to ask a few q's b4 you do the mod
you very well may be able to leave the rear alone

on one of my old stock rams i just threw a coil spacer in front and some 33's muds on my stock rims and called it a day.

it was gr8 forsure..

Decided to go with HBS 2.5" level with extended Rancho shocks. Once it gets above 10 degrees here il be putting it on. As for the stance i was looking into a set of 16x10 -38mm offset to run on my 265-75-16. Rim size seems a little wide for a 265 but the guy at the tire shop told me il be fine.

I had a 305/70r16 on a 16x10 and that f**ker was stretched almost.
I know tow mirrors are out, back when i thought it was the right thing to do.

Second guessing those 16x10 after seeing that pic. Would a 16x8 wheel with less back spacing like 4.0" but without a negative offset widen the stance at all? Trying to figure out backspacing/offset and its kicking my ass.

Some info for you.

Eagle Alloy series 185 with this rim I ran a 285/75R16 and a 315/75R16 tire no rubbing, 3” lift and up.

16.0x8.0
Offset -11
BS 4.000

+5" lift plus for these rims. These went out past the body by 4" to much for many a reason.

Ion Alloy 171 315/75R16 tire no rubbing.
16x10
Offset -38
BS 4.00

Currant wheel Black Iron Outcast to go along with the Dana 60’s, 315/75R16 tire no rubbing.

16x8.5
Bolt pattern 8x6.5
Offset -6
BS 4.5

yea yer gunna want the 8's....

my tire/rim pkg came all said and done with 10" wide and looked redik imho.

i love 10" rims but they look pretty much good on anything EXCEPT rams.

so i spent all that money, sold the new/used rims on craigers, and bought new 8's.

all said and done very happy but very broke.
