I have 2.5 inch coil spacers on my truck right now but im thinking about upgrading to skyjacker 3" coil springs for a smoother ride. With the extra .5" of lift I will receive from these springs do I need to also get the 3" lift control arms? Im thinking the factory ones will still be fine because the truck is only going to sit .5" higher. Here are the coils: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sja-d30/overview/

If I remember right the 3" needs lower control arms only, they are around .500-.750 longer than stock.

I've always heard those springs really arent all that soft
New control arms should be .5" longer, I would do both if I was already doing the lowers
Youll want to order new cam bolts for the lower controls arms before you dig into it as well

I have used the D30, D50 and have the D70 springs in now, no complaints here. I have another set of BDS 8" 2500 progressive springs here I was going to install but thats on hold for now, so I can't compare the two different springs.

Good tip on the cam bolts.

Are the cam bolts just control arm bolts?

They are eccentric bolts for the lower control arms to allow caster angle adjustment
