Hày I'm starting to want to little and modify my truck. I had a97 Dodge ram 1500 regular cab short bed 4x4. I'm wanting to lift it and put bigger tires on it possibly repaint it or wrap it and got a few questions that I want an answer from someone that thinks the same. I want to put about a 6 inch total lift all around. Now my first question is which lift kit is the best for the buck I don't want to buy super expensive parts but I don't want trash I will end up beating it up. I'm also wanting to put bigger tires on currently hav16s I'm thinking 18s maybe. I need new wheels and tires for fourwheeling probably more rock and mud my second question is what tires and wheels set would be good. I am getting front and rear bumpers so if you have suggestions on them too that'd be great. Just try to keep the price lower I am just starting to mod it. I am including a picture to give you all an idea if you can help and have any pointers that would be great anything helps.

Lifts aside, as I know little to nothing about them. To put larger tires on that you will also want to regear the truck, for 35s you should go a minimum 4.10, 38s really do require 4.88 or higher.

I have a 3 inch coil lift in front, and a 4.75 inch lift in rear(stacked stock blocks) with 35s, it is great and I ride high up, but it is a bit sluggish, even with O/D locked out. You can do it but if you regear you'll love it. I simply don't have the cash to do it anytime soon. Running 3.55 stock gearing.
