Is there any real difference between rough country 3" lift and 2.5" leveling kit?

Is there a real noticeable difference between a 3" lift and a 2.5" leveling kit it dosent seem like a half inch would be a drastic difference but the price difference makes you think otherwise

As BBartow stated i have that one [2 1/2] on my truck and running 33's i suppose 35's would fit for street driving but would most likely rub in tight turns and definitely on the trail, not bad for under 300$ with shocks!! I purchased an adjustable track bar from D.T. Fab for an additional 400$ well worth the price. I'm running Hercules Trail Diggers 285/75/16s 33's i'm happy with the setup.

I'm running 2500 springs right now and it lifted it 2" clearing 35x12.5r18 nitto mud grapps but the ride is stiff i was just trying to figure out if the 3" is really worth the extra $200 bucks or is the 2.5" leveling kit better bang for your buck.

I personally was under a finance restraint at the time i did it and now plan on buying new control arms next to center the axle again i'm, happy with the height and tire size [i don't go off road] my opinion is the 3 inch kit would be better in the long run for your setup with the 35's. By the time i'm done buying the arms i could have bought a 5 inch lift.

I have the 2.5 on mine I liked it when I got it but now I wish I would have saved n got the 3 to have the longer control arms and the drop brackets for the sway bar. With the 10plys I got on here it does ride pretty rough, shocks are good but pretty stiff!

Are those rims u got offset any? I still have the stock rims on mine but have been wanting to get 285s. These 265s look kinda small lol g they are good ties tho kenda klevers 265/75-16. Got about 40-50,000 on em now. How you like those Hercules?

asking for opinions on mud tires is about like asking what exhaust sounds best. lol but as for a guy who works in a tire shop, I do lean towards Firestone/bridgestone myself, and also like generals. don't know much about the FS destination MT's as to how they wear yet, but they look sharp and like they'd have a good bite. general grabber red letters are one of my personal favs for offroad tires, and I've heard lately that Federal couriga(spelling? lol) have been wearing like concrete without breaking the bank.

The rims are Prime 16 x 8 with 4 inch back space, i tried to keep from getting too much offset so there is not extra stress on the front wheel bearing/hub assembly's [besides i don't off road] i got the tires because of the look and price [not sure of the miles on them] but when i replace them i'm going with all terrains cause having mud tires and not mudding does not make sense. I personally don't care for Firestone or Goodyear tires [pricey and i have never liked Firestone tires since the early 70s] my brand of tires i recommend is BFGs i have used them on my hot rods for years and swear by them [not sure of the truck tires] I shouls have bought a 3 inch lit but that's water under the bridge.

The 3" is front AND REAR, includes springs and shocks and other meh stuff.

I'll leave my opinion of rough country off this forum.

3" kit will be a true 3" vs the 2.5" spacer being put on top of any spring sag there is in the stockers. Will ride better too

Its 3" in the front 2" in the back. I've talked to a sales guy cuz I was trying to buy just the stuff that the 3" kit has that the 2.5 doesn't. Shocks are the same, uses the same 2" block in the back. Just has springs instead of spacers and comes with control arms and drop brackets for the sway bar.

Rough country maybe. Other brands might be different
