I have a stock 97 sitting on 33s. I wanted to know what size tire i could run if i put a leveling kit under it, without haveing to trim.

Welcome to RF. Badger is right. With a set of wheels with at least 4.5" of backspacing, you can run 35's with almost no rub. I'm doing it on mine right not. If you do rub, it should be only slightly and just on the back side of the wheel well liner. I can post up some pics of mine with the level and 35's as well as the area it rubs if you'd like

And one of where mine rubs

I ran these tires on my factory wheels and would rub on my upper control arms before full lock. It's the darker spot on the top arm in this pic

I ran 276/65R20s on a 20x9 (backspace unknown, I recall it being 4.5) with absolutely no rub. It's a 34" tire. Looked great IMO!

I think I might step it down a tire size and just keep it leveled instead of adding a BL

no to the throttle body spacer (paper weights in our trucks). Programmer yes Superchips or SCT. I run superchips but if I was going to do any interanal engine mods I would go with the SCT. The CAI is personal preference. I made mine. Some run the 14x3 and some buy them I think Volant has one that has a sealed inclosure, which is what I would get if I were buying one.

I'm running an S&B intake on mine and noticed about .5mpg gain.

A TB spacer is just a waste of money and won't change a thing on these trucks. There's not many tuning options for the '97s unfortunately. Hypertech makes a couple but they're around $350-$400 and aren't worth it IMO

My 285/75/16 rub at full lock too. Only one side though. Still annoying.

Sent from my apple torching Droid.
