New member here with a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 2WD 5.9L Quad Cab. I am a Jeep guy and bought this to tow my Wrangler a couple times a year. Other than that, it will be a daily driver and used to haul stuff. I would like to put a 2" leveling kit in the front and put some new wheels/tires on it. I am thinking of black steel wheels and 31" to 33" tires. Sorry if I am asking redundant questions, but can I run 15" steel wheels on this? If so, what backspacing? As well, will 31" to 33" tires rub at all? Thanks in advance for your help! Pic of my truck below

I realize the wheels in this picture are 17's, but I'm interested in the width/backspacing. These are 9" wide, with 4" backspacing. Keep in mind, the lower the backspacing, the more the wheel will protrude from the wheel well. If these were 3" backspacing, they would protrude an extra inch, for example.

If you go with a 15x10, shoot for backspacing around 4"-4.5"

Edit: Just found out this pic was taken with 1.5" spacers as well, so keep that in mind.

Thank you for the quick reply. That makes sense. I would like to stay with a 15x8" wheel, I should have mentioned that in my original post. So I am assuming that size wheel with 3.75" backspacing would stick out a little? I would like to have about 1" to 2" sticking out of the wheel well. Also, with the 2" leveling kit, I would be good up to 33/12.50/15 tires?
