Hello all,
I have a 2002 dodge ram slt 1500 4x4, it has an IFS front end instead of the full axle as you'd find in bigger trucks. I wanted to know if anyone has attempted to remove the torsion bar and install custom coil over shocks?

If not I'll get that started. I don't want to sell as I've invested a decent amount of money in the engine and transmission.

Now I'd just like it to have better travel with a more comfortable ride.

And yes I've thought about going full width axle but that would bring a whole new slew of issues like the frame material of the truck is very different from most heavy duty materials used to perform such an upgrade.

Probably easiest to find the strut towers and lower control arms for an 06-08 3rd gen, then order in replacement coilovers for that era of trucks.

But this is 2nd gen, you have a 3rd gen and there possibly could be an easier solution than any advice I could give.
