So I just bought this truck really cheap. The girl I got it from said it's a 7"lift How can I measure to know for sure? And does any one recognize this type of lift ? Is it worth keeping? Or should I buy a whole new lift kit?

I'm worried cause the front drive shaft is angled so
Much.

it binds when I engage the 4 wheel drive
And makes a "knocking noise" When the joint pinches

I think if I lower the front 1 inch it might solve that issue but I don't know how or what kind of lift to google. Or if I need to just buy a 6" lift. All feed back is appreciated. Thank you for your help.

Bad pinion angle on front, dont use 4wd right now. To cure that angle you will need an indexing/clocking ring for the t-case. No doubt it binds when you engage it. You can also remove those coil spacers and probably cure the problem.

Looks like an alright kit, I see 5" springs in the front, and 2" coil spacers. Not really a problem, but it isnt recommended to stack lift springs and spacers. Most get away no problems though. Short control arms should not be on a lift that big IMO, id look into a long arm set up. Got any shots of the rear? Need to see pinion angle on rear diff, as well as if its lifted with blocks or leaf springs before I recommend anything else.

Nice truck congratz on your purchase.

^+1 on all that.

Yeah once you get into 7" Sus. lifts you have to deal with more sh*t. I'm also curious whats going on in the rear. Enjoy those Dunlops while they last.

Ugh..yeah, I'm with John, ditch those spacers. It looks like the truck has a Cali-lean anyway.

OP honestly removing those front spacers would do your truck a world of good.... You wouldnt even have to deal with the C-arms then.

Agree with the other guys here. Removing the coil spacers should help tremendously with a number of issues to include the front driveshaft binding. Post some pics of the rear when you can.

That looks like a 3in lift block, so it's likely that it's actually was a 5in lift originally.

Is this the 2" spacer on top of the coil? Want to remove it in the morning. Just not entirely sure how, this is my first lifted 4x4.

Ugh...that's a problem in that you've got longer springs up front, but blocks in the back, so you can't take the block out without giving it a horrendous Cali-lean. I'd either try and find some proper lift springs for it or take the blocks out and have them welded together nicely.

I almost wanna just buy a whole new lift kit, instead of screwing around with this. Does any one make a 6" lift kit for these? Do fast I can only find 5" or 7"

You don't need a new kit. Take off the coil spacers and you're fine. Later, when you have the cash you can get new leaf springs for the rear.
