2013 3500 bed liner in a 1997 2500 - will it work?

I have a 1997 2500 lwb truck and have been looking for a bed liner. Someone is offering me a new one they took out of a 2013 3500 lwb and I am wondering if these would swap out between gens? I haven't measured yet but think they both have 8ft beds on them.

The bed construction in my 4th gen looks completely different than my 2nd gen did, so I don't think it would work. You may be able to hillbilly some sort of fitment but it won't be clean.

maybe if you cut out the wheel wells lol they are very different
