305/70R16 Or 285/75R16?

Looking for a good 33" tire for my '94 1500 regular cab LB. I'll probably have some front coil springs ...

Default 305/70R16 Or 285/75R16?
Looking for a good 33" tire for my '94 1500 regular cab LB. I'll probably have some front coil springs from a Cummins and will probably add a leaf or two in the rear to make it level within the next few weeks and want to know which size may rub more than the other or none at all, I'm leaning toward the bigger meaner 305's but my wallet may want some 285's. Would like to see some pics of both to see how they look too, thanks

Remember the bigger you go the more power it will take to turn the tire. So you will lose a little get up if you go with the 305 vs the 285. I have 285's with a 2.5 inch lift and they are a perfect size. Factory tires were 245's so the closest you can stay to that size the better.

Unless of course you want to regear then you could run 35's with 4.10 or 4.56 gears and be A ok.

305 may be a bit too wide for stock wheels if that is what you are runnin'.

Thought the triple spoke ones were 8" ? Either way yea bought it with 305s and no problems whatsoever. I've run 35x12.5s on my old Jeep on 7" rims too

Only stock 1500 wheels that were 8" were ore wheels.

Oh you're that guy. We had this conversation before lol. On an off road toy you can, but wear will be bad on road.

Lol don't remember but I do admit I'm starting to get up there. I have zero abnormal wear issues on the Ram, well other than Kumho tires wear down too fast but that's a whole different discussion

I would be running my stock wheels the chrome clad 5 spoke looking ones from '94. And I believe they're 7" wide. Anyone have pictures?
