Looking into potentially picking up a set of tow mirrors... my truck has the power mirrors and they are also heated. I found these on amazon and wanted to know if any of you guys have used these or have another other better options (cheaper but still quality mirrors)

I apologize in advance if these questions is out there, I couldn't find it by searching. Thanks for your help with this and all my other questions, Ram Forum is AWESOME!:favorites13::)

One of our site sponsors 1aauto makes a set of power tow mirrors for our trucks. Not 100% sure but they may have an install video as well, not sure. Pretty reasonably priced compared to other places like lmctruck

Not sure how to change the title and maybe I'll try to get the admin to change the location of the topic...

I would like the completly new mirror instead of just the add on mirrors...

But I would like to have the new mirrors power and heated like my stock ones

The mirrors that 1aauto has include puddle lights and turn signals and are pretty pricey and would require flashing your computer to get the puddle light support (and maybe turn signals, I'm not clear on that).

EDIT: just noticed this is for an 01 so never mind the above.. I was looking at 2015.

Do I save much by losing the heated and power? Or is it just worth it to keep the heated and power?

If I recall I've seen manual/no heat towing mirror per pair for about $150. Personally I'd keep power adjust if you're towing, makes life really easy when you can adjust the mirror in the cab while trying to back into a tight spot.

with the tow mirrors, I would buy the bracket, everyone says they are needed. I recently replaced the stock mirrors, and my driver side shakes all the time, the passenger is great, luck of the draw?!?!? both are same brand.

installation is extremely easy just dont over tighten or youll have to change out your mounting studs off the old mirror.:superhack:

I overtightened and had to do that.

So just snug them up and your good or is there a certain torque you recommend? Did you take off the whole interior plastic door panel to get to the mirrors?

They're mostly shaky going down a bumpy road, but down a highway they is little to no shake. And yes, the door panel must come off. I'd suggest getting a panel clip tool to be sure you don't tear all them to pieces and can't be reused lol

We do carry the tow mirrors with power, heat and the support brackets. Here's a link to them on our website.

Our tow mirrors are made well, we offer free shipping and a lifetime warranty on them.

2001 Dodge Ram Truck Power Heated Black Towing Mirror with Support Bracket Pair at 1A Auto.com

Hope this helps you out,
