Here is a picture of my tailgate with the stock plastic cover. It is off now but is like to replace it with a Chrome one. The rocker panel piece was my first idea but it is not long enough to cover the tailgate.

Are you wanting a chrome metal trim piece or just something for looks? When I worked at O'Reillys, we sold it in like a six foot roll that was about 6" wide but it's just a sticker basically

I'm wanting hopefully a metal trim piece. When I debadged the tailgate I found some rust that I'm going to grind out prime and paint but I would prefer to just fix those small areas and then put a chrome piece over it to cover up the repair.

idk but now ya got me wanting to get one i am gonna try somethin.....ima go tomorrow and buy a chrome sheet of metal and cut it to fit and put some 3M adheieve tape behind it to hold it on if it looks good ill post pics

I was going to say maybe a local metal fab shop could do something, then get it powder coated or chrome dipped. I'm sure by the time you went through all of this, it would be really expensive though.
