so i run 35's on my truck and well they wont fit up under the rear of the bed where the old spare was. so what do yall think would be the best way to build or mount the tire and rim some where else. i was thinking maybe getting the carrier that doubles as a tail gate as well. but then id have a lot of open holes that things could fly out.

Mount it right in the bed somewhere? Takes up bed space though...

i believe they sell them already made that act as a tailgate and swing to the right. you could probably build your own fairly cheaply... or you could just throw it in the bed and they make locks to lock it to the side of your bed.

I couldn't put my spare in stock location because of my old exhaust system so I just threw it in the bed lol. Major pain in the ass when loading up as I couldn't take it with me. If you don't have a tool box you could maybe find some way to strap it between the cab and the fender hump in the bed. Would sick out the top a little bit I think it'd work

I have the same problem. Spare 35 and a bed box with a short bed is a pain when needing to load the bed. Haven't found a sure solution yet but what I think I'm going to do is build a bumper mount swinging type carrier. Came up with a good way to do it using the design of the military HMMWV and for my bed box I think I'm going to build a steel box under the bed down where the factory tire went and hinge part of the floor of the bed.
The one thing I don't like is having a 3ft sail hanging out back.
