To start, I have a 99' 1500 4x4, 180 for miles.

The guy I purchased the truck from (craigslist) must have dented the truck pretty bad, so looks like he decided to take a drill and try to pull out the dent. Looks like someone took a .22 in full auto to the side of the bed. On top of that, my truck has been diagnosed with the classic above-the-well 'ram rot'.

I'm looking to build a flatbed... I'm at stage 0 currently. I have no plan or idea on how to do this. I'm looking for semi-cheap but nice. Willing to weld, etc. Figured I'd check here for ideas, tips and advice.

P.S ~ Got 33s for tires

my friend had a frame built for his truck and built the deck himself. his newest one came out good but the last one he built on his old truck was a lot nicer. i think he spent about $1000 to have the frame built but i don't remember exactly. he did order it a bit heavier than needed.
