I'm running 285/75/r16 tires with 3.50 stock gearing, 99 ST 5 speed. Since thats what the truck came with I dont have much to compare it to. I'm wondering if the jump from the stock tire size (think its only an inch or so) would benifit from a re-gearing, or if I should just drop back to stock sized tires for now (wouldnt mind the $$$ savings...) or am I just worrying about nothing?

I'd say you're worrying about nothing. A lot of people run 285s with minimal consequences the only thing it might throw off is the speedo. You don't really start running into problems until you put on 33s and up

Yes it would benefit from regearing, but its not like its a 35" tire. Wear isn't going to be bad.

Never drop back down to stock-sized tires! :sparta:

Yeah, eff that noise. #fckstock
