Help with brush gaurd/cattle gaurd

Hey y'all I'm new to the forum. Been a lurker for a while. I have a 2001 1500 sport edition and I'm looking for a brush gaurd/cattle gaurd or whatever you want to call it. I haven't been able to find one that will for sure fit my truck.

welcome to the forum, and have you tried looking on your local craigslist? there are always plenty of them around here....

Yes I have, and almost every one says "came off my 99 f150, not sure what else it will fit"
Have found some that came off 3rd and 4th gen dodges but never 2nd.

well, anything can be made to fit. but i wouldn't suggest that unless you got access to a fab shop and experience. try ebay, and online stores. There are alot of brush guards for our trucks around here from $50-$200, maybe look at other near by areas

Try ranch hand or cattlemans HD. They may have one that'll fit.

Alot will say they wont fit the sport too, so some modifications will have to be made (like cutting the bumper)

In 99 they made the sport bumpers different. So you will run into the ones that are for an slt will not work. The only way to make them work is modify the bumper or find one that is made for a 99-01 sport. I ran into that a lot till I realized mine didn't have the different bumper.
