They look like some type of stabilizing bars to me. But don't take my word, I am by no means a auto genius

those are the upper and lower control arms. those look like they are probably aftermarket. you may have to look around to figure out how much of a lift your truck has and find the ones needed to match the lift.

Crazzywolfie is correct, they are the 4wd equivalent of control arms. If you search for control arms, you're likely to only find the 2wd components. The name used for those is suspension arms, both upper and lower.

As Crazzywolfie said, they are aftermarket, the stock variants have square bodies.

actually if you search for control arms on a 2nd gen it is mainly 4wd stuff showing up which makes sense. how often do you mess with the upper or lower control arms on a 2wd?

Upper and lower control arms as mentioned. They look to be for like a 3" lift roughly but I'd have to compare it to tire size to be sure.

As you can see in the video, it seems that the arms are sliding apart, and then banging togheter.

Is it possible to tighten anything keeping them from not sliding apart?

I'm away at work, and if I must order new ones, I must do it asap so I get it fixed before 31 march. Due to technical controll of the car..

I measured the lenght of the arms, and they were 49-50cm = 19,3 - 19,85 inches.
