I went to open the hood over the weekend to check the coolant and oil. The hood popped from the cab, but then the safety release wouldn't open. I used a piece of wire through the hood to finally get it to open. It turns out the clip that holds the release rod was missing. I used some tie wire to hold it in place for now.
I saw some parts available on ebay, I'm assuming I need the part I circled in the attached photo. Since I lost the part, I'm not 100% sure.
Does this look like the right part to hold the top of the rod in the release? If so, anyone know the part number. I've looked online but not found a schematic to show it.
