I'm new on here but I've read these forums for a long, long time. I got my 1999 Ram 1500 in November, and I have spent almost every dime I've made on this truck (and alot of it was gas :flipthebird:) haha. Well anyways, here is a list of things I've done since I bought the truck.

Chrome Side Steps
Rhino Liner
CatBack Flowmaster exhaust with 1 chamber magnaflow muffler
3" tips
5" Rough Country Suspension Lift
35x12.50 Nitto Trail Grapplers
17x9 Eagle Alloy 186's
Dark (not smoked) Altezza Taillights
LED 3rd Brake Light
Low Profile Toolbox

Next is:
2500 Towing Mirrors (came in today, going on tomorrow)
Black Anzo Heasdlight housings w/ clear lenses
Tint
8000k HIDs and fogs
New sound system (I listen to nothing but Country, this is more to show people up than anything else)
K&N Cold Air Intake

Possibly:
Chrome bull bar w/ mud lights
Road Armor bumper (dreaming)
Train Horns (I traded the set I bought for an 870 express :naughty:)
High-Flow Cats (True Dual)

Ok, past introductions, I am going to post several pictures below... I'm looking for some creative ideas for some subtle or even major exterior upgrades. I respect everyone's opinions and know that everyone holds their own, even if nobody else likes them... But if it were your Dodge, what would you do?

I don't think you should get a bullbar. But everything else you are doing looks great. Especially the train horn :p.

Yeah your looking pretty good so far. I would suggest paint matching your taillights housings. Also getting a tuner like SCT tuned by Hemifever or a Superchips

Great work. I'm really digging the lift and 35s. Those tires look BIG on your truck.

I wouldn't do the the bull bar personally. I'd say get a full ranch hand replacement for the front and mount 2 off road lights to that. But if you're not into big a$$ bumber replacement, I'd do just a regular light bar with 3-4 lights.

I like the train horn idea too. Maybe one day I'll get to doing that too.

Actually, they look small in real life. I turned the wheel in the pics so they looked bigger lol

Your Truck is awesome! Excellent Rim Choice.
I would add Black 4" Mopar Step Tubes- Black Rails and Bed Caps (Unless your more into Chrome).

Engine: Alot of Cool Stuff Available for your Engine and there are some experts on here for sure in the second Gen department.

I'd look into maybe a Mopar 549 magnum R/T Camshaft with valve train accoutrements and a cool, Single Plain Alum Intake & Black Wrinkle Valve Covers to start.

Welcome!

I could honestly clear 36's, but I'm afraid of clipping in the front. Every time I see somebody in town that's higher than me, I get pissed and wish I'd had that extra inch lol. Anyways, When I first bought the truck, I took the cheap route until I saved some money. I took the factory tires and wheels off of my Dad's 08 and a levelling kit. It looked good lower too.

Welcome to RF from another 2nd genner.

You should be able to clear a bigger tire than 36's with a 5" lift. I'm just leveled and have room with mine

Im thinking bull bar and a cowl hood. Danny hit the main points on the motor if your looking for some more grunt. I also dont see gears in your list, if you do alot of around town driving you might pick up a few mpgs.

I'd definitely gear it since you're running 35's. Mine is a dog now with them. Hopefully, by this time next year, my truck will look damn near identical to yours. Just black lol
