Hey guys. I have a 2000 1500 regular cab. The headlights only have the single headlight bulb for hi/low. Not two like most of all of your models. I want HIDS but they do not make specific projector housings for the single headlight bulb model on eBay or anywhere else. I wanted some advice on if you guys think these housings would work. I would take out the connectors and wires that come with the housing since I don't believe they would work with my model, stick the bi xenon hid kit in the projector and hook it up to my stock connector from the truck and just leave the halogen bulb in the extra headlight slot thats in the housing next to the projector. I just wouldnt use and of the plugs or wires that came with the housing and wire up the led drl strip seperately. I already have LED turn signal bulbs. Any help or different ways you can think of would be great. Thanks.

You can do the bixenon retrofit in your stock housings if you want. They don't have to be projector housings, and contrary to popular belief it's much easier to retrofit a projector into a headlight that has never had them than it is to replace aftermarket projector housings.
Chances are after you take the projector shroud off this is all you'll see. You have to cut the stock projector lens pedestal off and then go about aligning the projector and you have to get it right within a couple of goes otherwise there will be no more plastic to drill through.

Honestly stock single bulb housings are the way to go. There's a detailed thread in the diy section about this process, and dapepper9 retrofitted into stock style housings. Blackmagnum and I will/have retrofit into housings like that above. So there's always someone to help regardless of the path you take.

Do yourself a favor and don't bother with ebay projectors. They're all ****. Honestly, the 2 best options are stock 99+ sport 4 bulb headlamps with good halogens or do a retrofit like myself. Literally one of the easiest mods I've done and by far the best light upgrade I've done.
Here's a quick photo of my truck retrofitted.

The light output is ridiculous. I used Morimoto Mini H1 7.0s with a 55w ballast and 6500k bulbs. I'll find the output pic shortly.

These are the housings i retrofit:

If you don't want to go through the hassle of building them yourself, there's another option. I'm looking to start building retrofits on the side for extra cash to help pay for my current motor build prospects so I'll build em for ya. Buying these housings in the next day or so for $50

And i can open up, install a morimoto projector ($135), your choice of shroud ($15-35), halo ring if you wish ($not sure at the moment) and $50 labor and tell your friends lol. PM me if you're interested, otherwise i can help talk you through doing it yourself too.

They look great! Yeah a picture of them at night and a closeup would be great. I've thought about doing my own but don't want to screw up. How'd you go about aiming them correctly? I have the two piece aftermarket headlight just like yours but with the black housing. Your price definitely beats the $500 price for the retro shop that makes them. Thanks.

Ill get more of a close up pic after work while I'm repinning the harness (9007 harness but truck is 9004). Here's a quick of the output on low beam. I'll get high beams tonight after its dark and my harness is repinned lol.

Aiming them, they aim like the stock headlights. That's one reason i love the 2pc housings. 1pc are a ***** to aim and to install unless you bumper is perfect

Edit: btw this is before re-aiming. Passenger side could be lowered slightly

Well no high beam pic tonight cuz i accidentally pulled the connector out of the projector which wouldn't be a big deal but pretty sure i gotta pull the lens off again to get it.

Actually IMO those are aimed perfectly. Working previously in body shops I learned that the drivers headlights are normally pointed lower than the passenger from the factory to prevent glare/blinding of oncoming traffic
