rear disc break conversion...

My mistake. I haven't done much with the 2nd gens, and assumed they all had the standard 9.25 as well. Many of the newer trucks are going with the kit I linked to allow us to run smaller wheels for drag racing. I know summit also sells a disc conversion kit for the 9.25 that is a little cheaper, so they may also offer their own house brand kit for that Dana 60 as well.

I think that ratio will work. My math says it will be lower than the stock setup and with those heavy and larger tires I think it'll be fine. I've never heard of the XML but know quite a few guys that run 40" xl's they're nice but go away quick. If your going lower and replacing your carrier you might think about installing 70 parts in the rear. Takes some cutting and welding though.

2500's have Dana 60's and up to Dana 80's

There's a bracket kit for $70 and a rotor and pad kit for $125
Just buy some calipers and your good to go.
A1 card ones are about $70 each so $350 just need brake lines and a master

Did some parts book digging this weekend. I found no diff for master cyld from drum to disc, but remembered a bud that did this swap and he had to change his proportioning valve.
