I'm looking at some new nitro mud grapplers and I'm just wondering what the max tire size is on my truck. I did put a 2.5 inch lift on it so that should help a little. The tires are 315/75/16. Can I fit those without trimming or are they to big?

You can fit them with an aftermarket wheel with correct backspacing. 315's will not fit properly on a stock wheel. Your truck will be an absolute dog after though you put them on though. You're also gonna put a ton of extra strain on the whole drive train, which WILL prematurely wear it.

A 285/75/16 or 305/70/16 would be a much better tire choice. I believe the Mud Grappler is available in 305/70/16.

Enjoy the Mud Grapplers for the first 15K, then you'll walk out to your truck and realize you have no tread left.

I have 315/70/17 on my 2500 stock suspension but I have 3rd gen 17 inch rims and had to get 2 inch spacers for the front to turn without rubbing and got them for all 4 corners to make it look good or you can get after market rims with good backspacing as johnn123 said then you won't need spacers. If you go the spacer route then get quality I got rough country spacers for 420 bucks for all 4 had a year and been through countless trails and 4 mud bog competitions. I wouldn't get any mud tire if you drive on street the look doesn't make up for the tread being shot after a few miles. As for power loss with a big tire it's all about the gearing I got 4.10 rear posi and 4.09 fronts with Dana 60 and Speedo still reads perfect and no mpg or power loss of you got a 3.55 or something around that then I'd recommend regearing or you'll Speedo will be off and probably won't be able to spin tires
