So I want to redo my tail lights today. I'm going to strip whats left of the nightshades and respray them. Any tips to getting a great finish out of them? How long should I wait between coats and is wetsanding necessary? Thanks for the tips in advance!!!

Wetsanding gets the smooth feel to them, and then after buffing them out you get the smooth shiny feel. Don't know how it would turn out without wet sanding.

It just depends on dry time and humidity. Maybe 30 mins maybe longer. I used 2000 grit on mine and they turned out pretty good. Definitely use at least 3 good coats of clear coat or more

After you wet sand them if it below 80 and no humidity wait like 30-45 mins but let the clear dry at least 2 hours less time if its above 80

Ok heres the best way to do it wet sand it then spray the vht (how ever many coats you desire) then let it dry after it fully dries wet sand again then apply the clear coat (how ever many coats you want ) also when spaying the coats let it dry like 15 mins between each coat. Then after the clear dries wet sand again then compound and you should have some sexy lights.

I say ask as many questions as you need. It gets the info in writing for other existing and new members that don't know how to do this.
