Im wanting to install LED light bars in the cutout in the bumper where my fog lights currently sit in the stock location. I havent seen a flush mount kit for this, so I am considering getting a sheet of thick black plastic, covering the entire opening from the back side, and mounting the led bar flush to the front of the plate. (assuming the bumper bracket doesnt interfere. Question, would covering the openings totally block air flow enough to cause an overheating issue? Truck came factory with towing package that included a trans cooler. Just wondering if I am over thinking it.

As long as the grill is at least 3/4ths open, you're fine. You can plug every hole in the bumper without a problem.

You'll be fine. I have 4 light bars behind my grill and still have no difference in engine temp.
