Hello all. The door lever for my panel/defrost door is broken. I've got a replacement and it appears that, using a couple probes, I could lift the tabs and remove it without taking my dash apart. (Here (pic) is the parts manual view -- drivers side is to the right and the part we're talking about is #15). My concern is that if I remove this piece the door will fall down and then I'd have to take everything apart anyway to fix it. The blown up view looks like it might have a little ledge it's sitting on, though.
Hoping somebody has either done this or has their dash apart (or a spare duct unit to look at), I'd think just a glance at the inside would answer but I'd really like to avoid pulling the whole dash apart.
Thanks,
Jim
