Possibly. You'll have to verify it has the same connections on the truck harness. I can't remember for sure but the no tach trucks may not have the wiring for it

If you don't have the stock hookup for the Tach, i'd look into the pillar mounted gauges, you can get aftermarket tachs for that as well as trans temp sensors (really helpfull).

I believe all trucks have the signal wire, all you need is the cluster and its plug and play. Millage will be incorrect as it is stored in the cluster. So ECU and Cluster millage will be different but shouldn't matter if you don't plan on selling it.

I'm pretty sure that an a used or aftermarket cluster can be flashed to any mileage. So, if you've got 200,000 miles on your current cluster and you swap it with one that's sitting at say 180,000 miles, you can flash it to 200,000 miles. This is something that's going to have to be done a dealer though as they are the only ones that are going to have the tool to do so.

A used cluster cannot be flashed to change the mileage. The tach will work as it is a bussed message from the pcm to the cluster in 98-02.

I don't think this is true. What would keep people from changing the mileage on a vehicle for the purposes of selling it when it has a million miles on it? It is illegal to change the mileage on a vehicle. It is a federal violation.

It is illegal to change the mileage in a vehicle to lower with the intention of fraud. Changing the mileage in another replacement part to correct or reflect the true mileage is not illegal.
