A wideband 02 is also a good choice, get one that data logs.

What does the data log do? Can it be digital?

It logs the a/f ratio when the motor is in use, you then send that info onto the person that writes the tune for your motor. Yes it can be digital, look at f.a.s.t or autometer.

Its a lot more expensive to get something that is capable of data logging especially on a vehicle your year, if you don't mind the extra spending, go all digital.
