Both my front seat belts recently got stuck. They are all the way back to the seat and will not pull out. Is there a way to fix this issue a trick to it or something?

You may have to pull interior panels to get to the roller...may be wound up.

What year of truck? Some trucks had a module under the center seat to control the seat belt locking. Look under there and see.

seat belt timer module

MODULE. Seat Belt Timer for DODGE RAM 1500 (1997 - 2005). #56043003AD

Above is a link to order a new timer control module. I tripped over it myself. no search i did could find one, not even on the dodge parts websites. oddly, it is a chrysler part but it is in fact the same part on my 1998 dodge ram 1500.

like the posters above, both seat belts locked up. this module is located under the center console towards the front. Cant find your, just follow the wires.

With my split front seat, the best way to access the module was to remove the 4 1/2 inch bolts holding the center console to the seat frame. Then slide the whole bracket holding the rear cup holders out as far as the harness will allow, then remove. Mine was held in with two phillips head screws which you cannot get a screwdriver on. i opted for a 1/4 inch drive socket and a bit. They could have made it a little more difficult to get to, but not by much.

This solved my problem, hope it helps. Searches on this website alluded to what it does and that it could go bad, but not where it is, how to get to it or where to get one.

Before you go tearing apart your seats. When my belt got stuck I reclined and then folded forward the seat. It may free up enough slack to release the belt.

Got same problem on my 2000, 2500 Quad cab seat belts. Any help out there would be appreciated.
