What exactly does this do read-out wise? I see the F* and C* for the US/METRIC and my temp and direction show up, but what all does the left button do? I push it and it goes black.

if its similar to the 3rd gens, it would possibly be average mpg's, distance to empty. Hopefully somebody that knows for sure chimes in

Nothing, mine goes black too. Jbmobbs replaced his with a gauge and switches. It's pretty much useless.

Yeah I think ours just do the temp/directions. I do not have that option, as i have the garage door opener spot

It depends on the package. There is a temp and direction version. Then there is a temp, direction, mpg, dte, inst mpg one too. That one may have started in 99. Not 100% sure though

I get more information from my ScanGauge II and PanaPacific Gauge...

As for the panapacific gauge is a indoor/outdoor thermometer with history of hi/lo limits on both in and out then also its got a clock and alarm clock built into 1 small 2 1/16" gauge... Sorry to say it no longer made...



Panapacific is down by the OBDII port and the Scangauge is hung near the pocket in the dash...

Just shows outside temperature and direction... That's all...

One button turns it on or off... The other goes from F to C... Really basic...
