Just noticed the other day and just a day ago. That some vapor like stuff was coming out of my middle vents on the top of the dash bezel area, idk what from. Thought something was burning June but can't figure it out, and on top of that oddness I think my belts going out

That happened in my dakota, turned into heater core going out. Got any oily film on the windshield?

Does it smell really bad in the cab? Often a leaking heater core will really stink.

Definately sounds like heater core has a leak. Once had a mustang with all those symtoms and a definate coolant smell. It was an expensive repair labor wise because most of the dash had to come out just to access the heater core box.

No smell? Well then it definitely isn't from last nights dinner. Does sound like something is toasting, though...

Sounds to me like the heater core is on its way out, just not there yet. Def keep an eye out for an oily film on the windshield and the smell of antifreeze in the cab.

If I were you I'd pull my dash, replace the heater core and ac evaporator (core), and dash cap if you need one. And check all the vacuum lines for the doors. And if you want to be like me use it as a chance to really clean the truck.
Trust me though if you go in and only replace one you will be cussing yourself if you ever need to do pull the dash again.
