I would leave them in. but take the door panels off.
the only part that started coming up when I did my own from an ebay precut kit was at the bottom where the molding rubs it. I would use box tape across the bottom edge to ensure it doesnt start to come up, if I was to do it again.

our trucks are pretty easy, cars with the curved back window sucks unless your good with a heat gun, takes practice but sumtimes it is better to have profesional do it, you get a warrantee that way as well, and a good shop will keep redoing it until your happy, i use to tint but now i just pay to have it done, clean dust free area and lots of new razors is a must, do not use your dl or credit card it will leave scratches, might not be bad ones but they will be there

Had both my 96 and 02 perfessional done... But on the 96 I went fully legal and it sucks. Not dark enough for my taste. But on my 02 I went with 20% on the side windows and the rest where 5% limo tint on the other rear windows.

Now another point to bring forward. Cheap tint will degrade over time and turn a bluish purple color. But good quality tints will not change color over the years. Like on my 02 I spent the extra money and got the best grade for it. Where on the 96 I went the poor mans route and bought the economy tint.
