My gut is no this isn't smart, you'd end up with an imbalance of back pressure from bank to bank. I'm not quite sure how this would affect the engine... but I don't imagine it would be positively.

Either run no cats or two cats. And if you want true duals, I recommend an X-over.

Yes definitely need some sort of x/h pipe for proper exhaust scavenging.

yea haha i will probably just get the pace setter offroad y pipe for it. i was just trying to save 100 or so dollars but if it will damage anything i wont do it.

You can still run true duals, just add a x or h pipe to your setup.

Get a set of shorties, a cross over pipe and 2 cats. I prefer x over h myself. No need for a y pipe then either. Since you have to pass an emissions test you'll need cats for sure.

if i go this route i will have to fit it when i have all the parts it was just a rough sketch of an idea.
