My overdrive housing in my truck broke right off where the transfer case mounts. I want to know if the overdrive unit off of a transmission behind a 5.2 will work. I know all 5.9s had the 45rr behind them and the 5.2 had the 44re behind them, correct? If so, will it work? I have a 2002 ram 2500 with the 5.9l v8 gas motor.
