Hey ALL,
I have a 99 1500 4wd 3.2. We just got a lot of snow here in Ky and I tried to use my 4wd today and it acts like it's trying to come out of both low and high. When driving it makes a growling noise and when I got under it today and tried to turn front driveshaft while in 2wd it turned but sounded rough and acted like it tried to hang up. It worked fine 2 days ago. Any ideas what this might be?

Growling is usually a bad bearing. look for a bad carrier bearing or pinion bearing, not sure of the configuration on a '99
