have a 1994 ram 1500 318 5 spd 4x4. has a back fire in the intake if i unplug # 5 injector it goes away. then i just have a dead cyl. I have replaced the tps, aiv, the pick up in the distributor new cap, rotor, wires. compression on #5 is 125 and when i put a timing light on the crank shaft pulley is on except i has a several inch jump seem to correspond with # 5. any ideas
thanks.

that would be easy to confirm by just pulling the left v. cover, and measuring/watching lift of pushrod.

Timing mark jumping because the exhaust valve is not opening like it needs to so exhaust gas is coming out of the intake valve as it starts to open. Broke rocker will do the same thing. Pull the valve cover and inspect
