Can the spark plug heat shields be pressed back in after removal. Was thinking of Ceramic coating them with a High temp coating.

Just a thought, not putting much into it.

Your thoughts?

Yes - it takes them getting lined up properly to do it.

Just put some anti-seize around them to make it easier.

Don't put em back in. You don't need them at all and they just impede maintenance and drop rust in the hole

I believe I'm gonna loose them. Like the shields jsmith linked to. If I do anything at all. I'll keep an eye on the boots for awhile, after I tune it up, that's all.

Left heat shields didn't mess with them. Changed out the plugs, cab, rotor and plug wires. These are the plugs I pulled out of the motor. 97000 miles 02 5.9 liter. Not too bad I don't think. Number one being top left corner of picture.
