I'm curious if anyone has done an electric cooling fan conversion on their Magnum engine. Is it worth it over the OEM clutch system? Are they more effective at cooling/increase horsepower/increase fuel economy?

Or would such a setup be more of a waste of time/money?

If it is worth it, what are y'all running for a setup?

More effective at cooling - yes
Performance gains - noticeable at launch, but not much
Better fuel economy - kinda, but so little it doesn't matter

I'm running a dual efan set up. Heat probe set to 180 degrees. So the come on automatically. Even rigged to the compressor so when I turn my ac on, one fan kicks on. It stays at about 180 no matter the occasion. And that's in south Louisiana summer traffic. Butt dyno shows a nice bump in mid range acceleration. I don't know if it's because of my supporting mods or what, but I'm averaging around 11-12.5-13mpg's depending on how I drive. It also makes the exhaust note a bit better due to less strain on the engine.

Oh you just bought the fans, I figured you got the kit which is $275.
Oh yeah I got the whole kit, too early when I posted. I thought the kit was $250, maybe it was $275. Anyways I liked the kit for the reason of it was the cheapest full kit and I liked the bearings in the fans. Although I'd like to put a manual controller or switch in my cab to shut on/off the fans.
