ive been thinking about upgrading to and electric fan for a while now because i now it gives you a little more power and some mpgs. i just dont now much about this kinda thing so should i go with a single or a dual, what size, pusher or puller, and what is a decent brand for $150 and lower price range.

If you wanna save some money get a fan out of a 3.8l taurus off ebay. that's were i got mine. get a good controller though. some people have used hayden controllers from advance. Two burned up on me. i have a flexalite controller now but haven't installed it. running mine on a switch at the moment. it does the job just have to pay attention to the temp gauge and remember to turn it on

I got a full flex-a-lite kit for my cummins and love it. The best engineered kit ive ever seen. But the taurus fans are very common. Whatever you do make sure you use a shroud that seals the fan against the rad.

My problem with the flexalite is the price tag. I too have been looking at going with an elect fan, summit has the wiring, relays and probe for $30. I am going to a local yard today to look around and see if I cant find a medsize car like the taurus for a dual fan, gonna take measurements and get as close as poss.

good luck. not enough cfm. especially if you live in a hot climate or tow. you need more. just donnt want to see you overheat your motor.

I've got a sweet... I think it's a Flex-a-lite sitting in the garage. Used it on my '00 Ram for 2 years without issue.
I'll sling it cheap! PM Me!
